| So, apparently the summer was busy, because it is now mid-september and my last update was may 31...ouch.
The real problem with not updating in so long is you feel like the newest update has to be some bir grandeur of an update, like "my life is so great, that's why I didn't update", and blah-de-blah...
But to be honest, thing are just normal. School is going, lots of homework, tests, etc. Work is...work. The church is more fun than the dentist, always has been. I'm helping with the youth group t my church, which is fun, and still kickin it with KLAJR, holla! Josh is in Findlay, finally, and I have a new car (well, new to me).
But that's what I've been doing... how have I been?
Up and down, I guess. Peaks, valleys, and plateaus... Right now, either a valley or plateau. God is working, and I'm learning to be patient, joyful, intentional, silent, prayerful, and much much more, but it is all a slow process, and I'm only a fast learner at school subjects.
My verses for the week, though, James 1:1-18. You just gotta love James. and Psalm 85.
"May the Lord bless you and keep you, may he make his face shine upon you and give you peace... AMEN."
| P.S. - My last update was wrong... it's 2 corinthians 4:16-18. My bad.
Anyway, God is good, and so are the people and times he's put in my life... so through lots of emotions, things are very much on the up and up, and I just have to praise God for what he does, good and seemingly bad.
So work week(end) was awesome! Me and the ladies were jamming out hardcore and had a great time on the ride up, painting rooms, chillin on the couches, hangin with ellie, the sad old drug pusher (lol, just kidding, ellie was great), and on the ride back, and especially setting off fireworks for bucket's bday! it was great, plus I got to see my sister a little since we got back early, and have a great conversation with my aunt who has a lot of questions about God.
All in all, the weekend was long, and didn't necessarily feel like a weekend, but it was wonderful.
Oh, and i'm getting more and more pumped for camp, now that i have decided on a volleyball uniform (teehee, it'll be great) and was up at timberwolf getting it all ready for kids.
Gee, there could be so much more to tell, but i have to get back to work.
I hope that all of you are going back everyday to the father who loves every part of you more than you could imagine, to the God who fills your cup to overflowing so that you are not only filled with love and peace beyond understanding, but can share it with others, to the savior who takes all of your burdens at his feet and trades them for real life planned for you before you were even born. May you realize all of the blessings God gives you every day.
| You know, I'm not much for complaining, but...
I HATE THAT AS A GIRL YOU HAVE THESE MOODS THAT COME AND GO THAT YOU CAN'T CONTROL AND CAN'T GET OUT OF!
UHG!
O.K., I'm done "yelling" in caps now. But I have to say that, in all seriousness, one of the things coming into perspective lately is God' timetable versus mine. Perspective, seriously. I could wait for fifteen minutes and think it had been too long and I would have the answer, but God works more often in hours, weeks, years!
*Sigh*
let's hear it for 2 corinthians 5:16-18:
"Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, inwardly we are being renewed day bay day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieveing for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseeen. FOr what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
I hope everyone is seeking after an eternal perspective, with evidence of it in your (and my) life.
| what's that? birds chirping? lawnmowers running? kids playing? sounds like time for an update!
Josh and I's 6 month anniversary was yesterday, but we celebrated it on Sunday since he had to work. We had a picnic in the rain at wildwood because there were arthritic people at the botanical gardens. (long story). but he made me the meal he had made on our first date. it was great. oh...and he got me jewelry! earrings, but not in a box that even slightly resembles a ring box, as emmah specified, so as to not get any hopes up....
Camp is a little over a month away! I'm so pumped! I just hope fundraising efforts prove fruitful! I can't wait for all of the girls to have the best week of their lives!
This weekend is work week up at timberwolf, hangin with the dship ladies, what what! and leah's getting married in CA, and i have to miss it because I'm poor! dang it! that's ok, i'll see tons of pictures, and she'll be completely caught up in her family and getting married anyway.
